Silambam

Silambam is an ancient weapon-based martial art that emerged in Tamil Nadu way back in 1000 BC and is one of the oldest martial arts in the world. The term Silambam contains a meaning which itself reveals about the sport, “Silam” stands for a ‘mountain’ and “bam” stands for bamboo which is the main weapon used in this form of martial arts. It is closely linked to the Kerala martial art kalaripayattu.

Our students take deep interest in this martial art and emerge winners at various competitions

Intra School Volleyball / Throw ball Tournament

Sports & Games is an integral part of learning at Hindustan International Schools. Apart from understanding the pertinence of being fit and healthy, they also learn values of team spirit, empathy and self-confidence. At the Intra School Volleyball/ Throw ball tournament held on 09 September 2023, our team emerged Runners Up!

Karate

Kishen Dev of Grade 1 secured the 2nd place in the National Level South India Karate Championship 2023 organized by Kerala Karate Association (KKA) for the (Tamil nadu, Pondicherry, Telangana, Andra pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala). This competition was held in Jimmy George Indoor Stadium, Trivandrum.

The players who attained top two positions (gold and silver medal holders) will be selected for National which is to be held in November /December.
